Rabbi Stephen Robbins, Psy.D. is a master teacher of Kabbalah, meditation and healing. He was taught Kabbalah and its practice from childhood. He is a descendant of Rabbi Isaac Luria. He and his wife, Cantor Eva Robbins, founded Congregation N'Vay Shalom, a spiritually and psychologically oriented congregation dedicated to principles of spiritual renewal and emotional and physiological healing.
Rabbi Robbins is a cofounder and the vice president of the Academy of Jewish Religion, California. The Academy is a transdenominational Rabbinic and Cantorial seminary founded in Los Angeles in the year 2000. It is dedicated to preparing Rabbis and Cantors to serve the broad spectrum of Jewish spirituality, psychology and intellectualism of the modern American Jewish community. Rabbi Robbins is also a popular lecturer at the University of Judaism on Jewish mystical traditions.
As a clinical psychologist and naturopathic practitioner, he integrates psychological, physical and spiritual healing into a holistic private practice. He is currently doing research for the National Institutes of Health in application of Kabbalistic meditation to the healing of cancer. He is also completing research on the neurobiology of ethical behavior in children.
