Rev. McAfee is an ordained elder in the UMC with eleven years' service as a senior pastor; she is currently serving in a ministry beyond the local church as a Minister of Spiritual Formation, attending persons in their spiritual formation. Rev. McAfee is also a consultant for The Upper Room, an ecumenical arm of the denomination which provides resourcing for spiritual leaders. She serves on the editorial board of Spiritual Directors International and on the newly formed discernment visioning team for Worshipful Work, Center for Transforming Religious Leadership, a national Presbyterian based ecumenical organization. Rev. McAfee also consults with her denomination on process procedures and facilitator training for annual conference sessions.
